What I learnt from Sivaji!

As a person I have two primary passions : education and cinema !Taking this into consideration , it is really no surprise that my proposed career goal is making cinema a medium of education . All that said , obviously June 15th drew in for me with much excitement , it was the world-wide premiere of Sivaji and being an adrant “Thalaivar” fan I had the privilege of catching the movie.

Well , it being a rajni movie would have definitely been reason enough for mje to go and watch it but it being a “rajni movie which throws light” on education really drew me to watch it. I was fascinated , cheered , whistled and had a great time and Sivaji went back to the back my mind and another issue cropped up .

Why did the Ambanis start an International school and not a free education center?

Today as an very proud Indian, I can tell you one thing – there is only one future for this country and that involves education at the grass-root level, it is only when we all are educated , can read-write and comprehend what is happening around us that we can stop blindly taking shit from a disgusting governance and nod our heads in dismay as we see 30% of our earnings being squandered away to the pockets of our politicians.

For me it would be a very simple idea, if the government does not want to privatize the running of government schools then why can’t corporate open free schools of their own? If they can do it for their staff and employees, then why not for the poor?
Can the Ambanis not afford to open a free school? Or is it that they needed ANOTHER moneymaking venture?? Kinda hard to believe that it is the latter don’t you think?

Coming to think of it, makes a lot of sense, the whole picture after you see Sivaji, maybe Thalaivar’s movies are not just candy-floss, as for the Ambanis .. Shankar are you listening ? Think we just found the subject for your nest movie!

I believe the Ambani's were all about business from day one and that too a shrewd one. After managing to lay their cuckoo egss in the Indira Gandhi adminstration, they managed to safe guard quite a few of their vested interests. For eg, the refinery at Jamnagar which has become vital to India. At the first sign of trouble at the border, one has too see the army move into position in Jamnagar.

It would be great to see ur suggestion backed by Ambani money. But something tells they definitely will be holding what remains of our 'dhuniya' in their 'mutti'.

ok, why dont you people understand that the only thing thats killing education is FREE education, free education is just a myth, it is paid by your tax money, and the constancy of their(the teachers in free school) salary just makes them too lazy without any accountability. When will people stop treating education as something divine and platonic start treating it as a legitimate business. Only when you stop this so called free education you ensure quality will be maintained.
And as for Sivaji, that movie was an unbelievable socialist propaganda.

Education, free or otherwise I belive is a huge reponsibility which needs to be diligently without attaching a price-tag. For me education in this country is struggle, the way freedom was until 1947( or is it still?) Can you put a price tag on freedom? I don't you can make education a legitimate business either

Good quality education comes at a price. Free education looks novel in paper. In reality it is meaningless. Especially the standards that will be set by Ambani's institute doesn't come without a price.

Before yuo term it freedom or struggle and other things please understand even today in our country many come to school to fill up the tummy primarily than to study.

true... i agree... education is a multi crore business as we know... so they are diversifying their business as always.... so lets cheer up and suck all the money from our dad's spend those lakhs of rupees to produce some teenage drug addicts, non returning NRIs, people who go only forward looking for IT, rocket science and finance and not rural indian uplift or any other socially backward places in india.... correct me if i am wrong....
